Curtains & Sheers

Curtains change a room more than almost anything else you can do to it.

And they're also, simply, one of the most beautiful things in it. What you want the room to look like is the whole of the brief — everything else is just how we get you there.

The look is yours

There isn't a right way for a room to look.

Some people are drawn to quiet, restrained spaces; others want warmth, richness, or presence. Some want the curtains to disappear into the room, others want them to be one of its defining features. Which choice feels right depends on the room, the people in it, and what they're after.

What's possible

It helps to know what's possible.

Curtains can soften daylight or block it almost entirely. They can frame a view, create privacy, absorb sound, bring warmth, or change the way a window feels within the room. Sheers and heavier curtains can work together, each taking a different role through the day. None of this is a rule, and no room needs all of it — they're possibilities, to be used or left aside in service of the room you're imagining.

On making

Where we're exacting is in the making.

Because that's what decides whether curtains become what you pictured, or only something close. Fullness. How the fabric falls and moves. Its weight. Where it meets the floor. The details hidden inside that give a curtain its character. Individually they're small — together they're the difference between an idea and the finished room.

The heading — where fullness is decided, and where it shows.

How we work

We come to you.

The way we work is simple. We come to you and see the room in its own light, bring fabrics to touch and leave with you, and you choose — with as much or as little help as you want. Then it's cut for your windows and hung by us.

Tell us what you're after, or just show us the room.

Request samples to see the cloth in your own light, or arrange a home consultation and we'll bring them to you. There is no charge for either.
